This position provides benefits administration and new employee onboarding support including plan enrollment, new hire orientation, HRIS data entry and answering employee benefit inquiries. This is an entry level position which provides insight into and valuable experience with all aspects of the benefits function for a fast-growing and highly successful professional services firm.

 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Benefits Administration: Assists in the administration of the firm’s benefit plans by processing online enrollments and benefit plan changes, answering employee benefit inquires, and reconciling invoices. In addition, provides support for annual open enrollment.
  • Employee Onboarding: Serves as first point-of-contact for incoming employees. Sends new hire emails including the setup of benefit webcasts, conducts new hire benefits orientation, and processes new hire information through the HRIS system.
  • Employee Terminations: In collaboration with the Benefits Specialist processes employee terminations through the HRIS system and conducts exit interviews.
  • Records Management: Ensures all employee documentation is accurately scanned and placed in employee electronic folders. Maintains any paper files when needed.
  • Other:  Processes benefit invoices, responds to employment verification requests, and updates key benefit communication materials including company intranet, new hire presentations and employee communications. Assists Benefits Specialist with monthly and year-end paid time off reconciliation, runs various reports including eligibility files and turnover, and provides support for projects as needed.
     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree required, with strong interest in Human Resources.
  • Strong PC capability (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Experience with HR Information Systems preferred.
  • Excellent written/oral communications skills.
  • Team player, willingness to assist other members of the HR team when needed
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Highly organized.
  • Strong customer service and attention to detail.
  • Works well independently and within a team.
