The Power BI Developer is responsible for designing concise reports that will allow Analysis Group to make informed decisions, specifically regarding financial metrics and HR data. A strong background in Power BI UX design, data modelling, and experience analyzing and reporting on financial data are key to this role.

 

The ideal candidate will be able to work with members of IT and finance to translate complex business requirements around financial reporting needs into dashboards with a consistent and user-friendly design.

 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Expert in Power BI UX design.
  • Create visually appealing and interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Maintain and improve existing reports with an updated UX approach and consistent design.
  • Design and maintain Power BI semantic data models, including those using row and column level security.
  • Design and implement DAX formulas and measures to extract actionable insights from complex semantic models.
  • Execute firmwide financial reporting and analyze financial data in partnership with senior leadership.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Fabric stack as it relates to Power BI.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to data or reporting functionality.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in analytics and data visualization required.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in computer science or management information systems preferred.
  • An ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in financial reporting within a professional services environment.
  • Experience with Power BI required.
  • Experience working with Dax Studio and Tabular editor preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to effectively work independently and as part of a team.
