The Azure Engineer is responsible for the design, build, implementation, and cloud based solutions in Azure. This role involves working with a number of cloud based tools to ensure a stable, secure Azure environment.

 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding of Azure, including security, firewalls, network security groups, blob storage, resource groups, Azure SQL and Azure load balancing.
  • Design and develop a scalable Azure architecture, ensuring that it aligns with Analysis Group’s cloud computing strategy.
  • Manage and develop storage solutions, including the management of databases, virtual machines, data warehouses and other Azure based solutions.
  • Work with clients to transfer data from on-premise or cloud-based storage into the Analysis Group environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the Azure environment.
  • Work with Azure AI Foundry to build a cloud based LLM environment.
  • Deploy Infrastructure as Code, using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell and other tools to update and secure cloud based resources.
  • Roll out security governance and auditing tools in partnership with our Information Security team.
  • Ensure seamless interoperability between on-premises and cloud-based environments.
  • Participate in 24x7 On-Call rotation.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of substantive relevant work experience required.
  • An ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of substantive relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Professional certification in Azure preferred.
  • Experience with cloud security, networking and disaster recovery best practices.
  • A willingness, and passion, to automate as much of the role as possible.
  • Experience with cloud backup tools, such as Rubrik.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting experience required.
  • Experience managing Windows and Linux virtual machines in Azure.
  • Experience with other cloud providers, like AWS and GCP, a strong plus.
  • Process-oriented mind-set.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a readiness to learn new technologies.
