Analysis Group is seeking a creative, collaborative, and forward-thinking Practice Development Manager to support the firm’s approach to business development, practice area growth, and market positioning in the UK and the EU. Partnering closely with senior staff in our UK, Brussels, and Paris offices, the Practice Development Manager will collaborate with other members of the firm’s Practice Development (PD) team to support the development of partner, practice area, and geographic specific marketing plans. The Manager will help to develop and implement actionable plans to advance our European market presence, support initiatives related to European experts/senior staff, and enhance client communications.
The position requires an inclusive and efficient collaborator with experience managing complex projects. This role is part of a growing, multi-disciplinary Marketing & Business Development department of over 40 professionals, including teams focused on communications, digital strategy, research and market intelligence, design, and events. The individual will collaborate extensively with European senior staff and cross-functional colleagues to evaluate opportunities and to develop and monitor tactical practice-focused initiatives. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Business Development Strategy & Execution
- Work with senior staff and colleagues to develop and implement partner- and practice-specific go-to-market strategies and business plans, including identifying and researching potential clients and market opportunities across the UK and EU.
- Work closely with senior staff to implement business development activities in collaboration with PD and Marketing department colleagues to ensure local efforts are aligned with global practice priorities.
- Propose new target markets/clients to consultants, along with strategies and tactics to pursue. Develop relationships with senior staff in the EU/UK to understand their client work and priorities.
- Partner with the Research & Knowledge Services team to help senior staff monitor top clients and prospects as well as the geographic markets and industries we operate in. Help senior staff translate market analysis, competitive intelligence, and other client insights to inform business plan development and local market strategies.
- Brand Development & Visibility
- Help identify, evaluate, and manage opportunities to build the brand of the practices and the firm in the market including sponsored industry events, AG hosted events, in-house presentations for clients, and professional speaking opportunities designed to enhance EU/UK market visibility.
- Coordinate and prepare ranking submissions; work with practice leads and colleagues to determine rankings strategy for each submission, draft and finalize submissions accordingly.
- Work with Marketing team to develop EU/UK communications and promotions strategies to support business goals. Supporting planning and management of client outreach campaigns, including promoting client wins and thought leadership, regular cross-practice email marketing, and LinkedIn content strategy.
- Pitch & Experience Development
- Support UK/EU senior staff with proposals and pitches, including drafting relevant case experience, tailoring bios, and developing new stock content for the firm’s experience database.
- Collaborate with consultants and our Editorial team on the development of compelling practice-related marketing collateral tailored to the European market; this may include website descriptions, brochures, and other public facing materials.
- Marketing & Business Development Administration
- Attend global practice meetings to provide EU/UK updates and to foster cross-office collaboration.
- Track and report on business development activities and client engagement.
- Support colleagues on Marketing team in maintaining and updating client databases, mailing lists, and CRM tools.
- Provide insight and strategic support to identify gaps in EU/UK specific marketing, BD, and communications practices/tools. Provide proactive ideas and strategies based on prior experience in these geographies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 8 years of substantive relevant experience in professional services marketing, business development, or practice development in Europe required.
- Strong knowledge of European legal markets, particularly in international arbitration/dispute resolution and competition.
- Flexibility to work extended hours as needed to participate in team and practice-specific meetings.
- Ability to oversee initiatives with attention to scope, deadlines, and stakeholder alignment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French (fluent or native in both languages required). German language proficiency a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish credibility with senior leaders in the practice and bring to bear the right mix of confidence, tact, and persistence in working with both consultants and professional staff in a multi-office environment.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams); fluency in using CRM and technologies – including AI/GenAI- to improve marketing execution, automate content development, and support team effectiveness.
